Peppermint Robotics has secured INR 34 crore (~USD 4 million) in a Series A funding round led by JDSS, Enrison India Capital, Indian Angel Network (IAN), Vinners, and other angel investors.
The Pune-based robotics startup will use the capital to drive its expansion into European, Japanese, and Asia-Pacific markets, while also enhancing its proprietary technologies—Peppermint OS and Skateboard. With this round, the total funding raised by the company stands at INR 49 crore (USD 5.6 million).
“Our autonomous solutions are uniquely positioned to deliver both operational efficiency and environmental benefits in an era where industries around the world are facing growing labor shortages and sustainability demands,” stated Runal Dahiwade, Peppermint Robotics’ founder and CEO. “This funding will help us scale our operations globally, meet international compliances, and improve our product offerings.”
Peppermint Robotics, which was founded in 2019 by Runal Dahiwade at SINE IIT Bombay, specializes in creating autonomous robots for industrial material handling and commercial cleaning. Robots that clean floors, intelligent docking stations, and a cutting-edge operating system are all part of its product line. In addition to being cloud-connected and energy-efficient, the systems also have real-time analytics dashboards that facilitate data-driven decision-making.
Peppermint now has operations in six countries after a successful 2024 launch in the US. Robots from the corporation solve important problems such increasing employee turnover, growing labor expenses, and a lack of workers. These simple-to-control robots are designed for realistic deployment in challenging conditions and are supported by the unique Peppermint OS and the Skateboard electronics architecture.
By 2026, the company wants to expand its supply chains and production, improve its engineering and leadership teams, and introduce new products like a robot that cleans restrooms. With multipurpose robots designed for the upcoming smart infrastructure generation, Peppermint Robotics is well-positioned to take the lead as the market demand for automation increases.
