Bayern Munich is poised to win the Bundesliga title with a resounding 4-0 victory.

On Saturday, Bayern Munich easily defeated Heidenheim 4-0 to go closer to winning their 34th Bundesliga championship.

With four games remaining, Bayern leads the table with 72 points, nine points ahead of Bayer Leverkusen, who play St. Pauli on Sunday.

With Harry Kane’s accuracy, Konrad Laimer’s drive, and Kingsley Coman’s flair giving Bayern a three-goal lead after just 36 minutes, there was little question about the result on Saturday.

After 22 minutes, when the pressure on the Heidenheim goal was at its most, Kane had a chance to double his score, but the Bundesliga’s top scorer missed a close-range header, allowing the home team to escape with the win.

Then, as Bayern broke out at full speed in their unrelenting quest for another Bundesliga title, Joshua Kimmich took his time before launching a shot into the corner for 4-0 in the 56th minute.

Manager Vincent Kompany, whose Bayern team lost to Inter Milan in the Champions League midweek, told reporters, “I know that now afterwards everyone will say that it is normal for Bayern that we win here like this.”

“But if you look at the last games of Heidenheim like against Bayer Leverkusen, and how difficult that was for the opponents, then I knew that it wouldn’t be easy.

“It was a complete performance, that’s of course a big compliment for the boys after the somewhat difficult week.”

Heidenheim nearly pulled back a goal shortly after the hour mark, driven by pride and a desire to salvage something from an otherwise lackluster effort. However, Jonas Urbig, the goalkeeper for Bayern, was quick and aware, diving low to make a deft save and deny Sirlord Conteh.

With 22 points, the hosts are third from bottom in the relegation play-off spots, seven points below St. Pauli, who hold the final safe slot. The situation for the hosts appears dire.

Next Saturday, Bayern will host Mainz. They will then play RB Leipzig and Borussia Moenchengladbach before visiting Hoffenheim on May 17 to conclude their campaign.
